so, I finally did it, I hopped in the car and drove a hundred miles into no-where to take a picture of dark. it was between clouds and between the sun and the moon. also: it’s basically the time of year when the most of it is showing, just a couple of days after the solstice. the light pollution blob lower right is emporia kansas, about 30 miles away.
